I'm back Again.

I've seen so many posts in recent days of people being really excited by Elijah Wood returning as Frodo for The Hunt to Gollum. My issue isn't why is he there, but why do we need to hang into these Actors. The films are 25 years ago. Use some new actors who can make a new version of the character.

I've been really quiet here for a long time. And I'm sorry for that. Life has just been distracting me away, but it's all good things. Hope everyone is doing well over here.

Fighting the post Oxonmoot blues, back to work doesn't feel right. Need to keep myself (better) immersed in Tolkien as I've lost my way of late Oxonmoot is always a highlight but I miss connecting with people

Oxonmoot is always a wonderful experience. So many very intelligent people talking about different aspects of the works of Tolkien. I love the range of topics that always are on display and so inspiring.

Well, I'm back. After a long (impromptu) bluesky hiatus I'm back. Heading of to Oxford today for my third #oxonmoot hope to see lots of folk there and participate in some wonderful discussions

I just read the Bridge of Khazad-dum last night so this feels quite appropriate.

For eight days the Balrog has climbed secret tunnels with Gandalf in pursuit. Finally they reach the Endless Stair of many thousand steps, which brings them to Durin’s Tower and a narrow ledge atop Zirak-zigil. The Balrog bursts again into flame. The Battle of the Peak begins.

Sadly, 5 years ago today: we lost Christopher #Tolkien at the age of 95. He edited around two-dozen books of his father's works, and brought us much of what we now know about Middle-earth, for which we are all incredibly grateful. He is missed. Namárië.
