Yes! Please listen to young people! My son (only just voting age!) is astonished at the gambling culture among his peers. It’s inescapable. It’s already ‘worse’. Gambling is like a contagious infectious disease. The gambling industry like an obnoxious mosquito.

We should never seek compromises when it comes to the health and wellbeing of children. Especially when kids themselves tell us that they want the government to take strong action on gambling ads to protect them from the tactics of the gambling industry. Why are we ignoring their voices?

Disappointing to see the Greens supporting a partial gambling ad ban. Partial bans enable the gambling industry to fuel demand for their products through a permissive approach to advertising. They DO NOT protect children and young people. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-02...

Parents are concerned about the short/long term impacts of alcohol, gambling, cigarettes, and vapes for their children. They try to discuss risks but find it difficult to counter the positive messages their children are exposed to for these products. academic.oup.com/heapro/artic...
