I just finished and framed my toucan painting! Midway through this I got really worried about the colors but a few washes over the background safed it from beeing too green. I used Turner Acryla Gouache, Roman Szmal Aquarell and Schmicke Designer Gouache on Hahnemühle Bamboo Paper. #art

Saw this lovely Northern Cardinal pair yesterday doing a little courtship feeding. Check out the colors on the female. She’s likely been around some time; cardinals are one of numerous species where older females will start to look more like males. #birds #cardinals

How about some more pictures of my little cuties? Samia Ricini were the first moths I ever reared and from then on I've been in love. These silkmoths are super sweet and docile and easy to raise. Also they produce real silk!

Bleeding heart sketch in an art nouveau style. Sorry that I post so many sketches but this is the first time I enjoy scribbling in a sketchbook since years haha. What about keeping the theme abd putting a bleeding heart dove on the other part of the spread 🤔

End of January is the time to start some garden seeds for me! I got so many diffrent types of Tomatos but I can't resist a new fancy variety 😫 All my seeds are from Samenfritze because they just have superior quality haha. Also testing seed snails this year, I will keep you updated.

Today I checked on my hibernating moths! They moved from the garage to my fridge since tempratures started fluctuating strongly and I am worried the will hatch prematurely.

I drew a little goldcrest to test one of my new papers. I have gotten my hand on a bunch. I'll give you updates what I think of them once I got to test them all out.
