An incredibly frustrating few games, but we have some really talented young players, who play really good football to watch, give their absolute all every single game, and go toe-to-toe with the best teams in the division. Back them to the fucking hilt. #SAFC

Interesting seeing mixed opinions on Tommy Watson’s performance. I didn’t think he looked out of his depth or particularly good. Some bright moments, some poor ones, as you’d expect for a kid making his third ever start and first at home. Happy he’s getting a chance. #SAFC

Definitely feel like the fine margins are going against #SAFC atm. The Isidor offside a real borderline call. It’ll turn. 😎

Well, last night in Vegas and looking forward to getting home now. Long trip when you’re travelling solo and working.

Think last two games have shown what a huge miss Jobe has been. Natural for teams chasing a goal to rush right up (and push you right back) but Jobe best we have at operating in tight spaces, protecting the ball and winning free kicks. All invaluable in protecting leads. #SAFC

Think we’d have all taken a point before the game, but gutted to lose those two points in that way. Still, think those lads were warriors today. #SAFC

Didn’t actually make it to the F1 practice or qualifying despite having the three-day pass. From Strip level all I could really tell was it was loud.

Die Hard is about a man who learns to put his wife’s needs ahead of his ego, on Christmas, while stopping evil and casting them down from the heavens, in a building with a pregnant woman who has no place to deliver safely. Also, Karl dies and is reborn.

But it being Christmas is the scene with which we are presented. That’s A. It plays no part in the transition to where the movie ends up, i.e. B It’s not Hans called off his heist because he discovered the Christmas spirit or something. Christmas changed nothing. 😎

I can get on board with a theory that to be a Christmas movie, it must illicit a certain feeling within the viewer. A ‘Christmassy’ feeling if you like. And therefore, since feelings are subjective, so too must be the criteria. But singularly, it’s not enough. So Die Hard isn’t a Christmas movie. 🙈

Here is a test for the civility on BlueSky: A movie cannot be a Christmas movie unless Christmas plays a central mechanism in the transition of the narrative from A to B. So Die Hard is clearly NOT a Christmas movie because Christmas changes nothing in the story.
