Legitimately afraid of the day I see this

Way late to the party but finally playing Tales of Arise and this game is awesome. Just cleared the third realm, so no spoilers please.

TIL that No Doubt was founded the year before I was even born, and Gwen Stefani is 56 years old, and somehow I feel like everything I know is a lie.

Lotta folks spend time dunking on these dudes who name things like Palantir, like "this fucking idiot doesn't understand LOTR at ALL" And maybe it's that they're actually naming stuff appropriately and don't give a fuck because they keep getting away with being evil

On the one hand, it feels awesome to have a doctor who seems authentically invested in your health. On the other, the transparently high level of concern on their face doesn’t feel great.

I'd probably suffer more consequences posting about what I think we should be allowed to do to people in the Epstein files than the people in the actual Epstein files will ever have to face.

It can be tough having friends who are artists, because sometimes you're blindsided by an incredibly vulnerable journal/diary entry that to everyone else just looks like a cool drawing or something.

Know what’s cooler than getting rid of Bovino? Getting rid of ICE completely.

I normally try to avoid falling down "Reels" rabbit holes or whatever, but given how shitty everything is, I've been watching clips of streamers playing horror games and getting the shit scared out of them and I'll admit, that HAS helped my mood some. I've been able to laugh, at least.

I honestly don't really know why I clicked on this video or what I was expecting when I did, but man, it's really good. Long--about 40ish min--but really good.

Just found out one of my favorite restaurants is permanently closing at end-of-day on Sunday, and of course I'm either busy or we're supposed to get a ton of snow between now and then.

I just remembered that Squaresoft's fighting game "Ehrgeiz" had either a subtitle or tagline that read "God Bless The Ring" and real talk, that may be the hardest fucking tagline for a fighting game ever.

I finally beat the final boss in Armored Core 6, and that's gotta be one of the highest difficulty spikes I've ever experienced in all my years playing video games. Also, absolutely shocked I'm not nauseous from motion sickness. Jesus.

Not CBSNews out here trying to excuse the killer cop because he was dragged by a car back in June, so you can't blame him for killing her, it was PTSD.

The Boy and The Heron. It's not one I can watch often because it hits really close to home in a number of ways, but my God, what a masterpiece of a film.

On a much lighter note, I wonder if there are any game stores out there with heavy tabletop gaming communities that offer locker rentals, where folks could store their minis throughout the week instead of dragging them back and forth from home.

I was wondering why my YouTube home page was suddenly filled with videos about guns, Theo Von, Joe Rogan, true crime and pseudo-conspiracy videos, and then I realized I'd been signed out. So, that's what YouTube just serves up to you if it doesn't have any previous viewing habits to go off of.

Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.

Remember: When Tylenol was poisoned *by an outsider* and killed people, the company recalled all their products & redesigned them. When Intel’s Pentium had a bug so obscure it affected 1 in _9 billion_ long division calculations, they recalled their chips. ChatGPT was made deadly *by its team*.

Made the mistake of finally watching a video about Warhammer, so now I've gotta spend the next 4-5 days fighting the urge to get into a game I don't have the time for, know anyone else who plays, and cannot afford.
