How pathetic is the president to set up this stunt just so this discussion would be to justify Trump’s ballroom. It makes perfect sense though. A judge halts construction on the ballroom, as he should have, and then this “attempt” happens. Too coincidental, and not beyond Trump to do this.

I have seen some reporting on who he “donates” his salary too. Most of those agencies, if not all of them, are forbidden by law from taking donations from private individuals. They are federally funded by Congress. He is, once again, lying….

If Trump set up this stunt in order to justify his ballroom, then it just goes to show how depraved his mind really is. The top 4 leadership positions in our country have never been allowed to be at the same event before, it should not have been allowed this time.

After the way Trump has called our allies names, has denigrated NATO, has claimed that he alone can fix everything, I can’t blame any of our allies for refusing to help Trump. I would do the same thing if I were in their shoes. I just hope we can survive his term in office and then have justice.

I have said it before and I will keep saying it. Everyone who serves in Congress takes an oath to protect the Constitution. The Republicans, most of them anyway, turned right around and violated their oath of office in subservience to Trump and Trump alone. They are the Trumplican Party.

Precisely, Trump only cared about one thing, telling his followers what they needed to hear so that he would not go to jail. It was all about him, never about “serving” the public good or even the Republican good. He couldn’t handle being in jail, but he is still a convicted felon, now and forever.

Trump doesn’t understand that he serves at the whim of the electorate, he believes he is a king to do as he pleases, and the Republicans in Congress have abdicated their responsibility in acting as a check and balance on the president. The midterms should rebalance the power.

The founders thought we had “inalienable rights” through the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, along with the Constitutional Amendments. They just never figured we would have someone like Trump occupying the Oval Office who, contrary to his oath of office, would think he was a king.

What happened in Texas regarding the gerrymandering was cowardice. They, the Abbott administration, would not tell Trump no, they just laid over hoping for a belly rub from their dear leader. This is the legacy of Trump, more division, an “us against them” mentality. Lincoln was right.

Voluntary or forced resignation? From the wording on the WH announcement my guess is a forced resignation. It sounds better than “you’re fired”.

I wholeheartedly agree. If we have term limits for the presidency then we should have term limits for Congress. I agree that their service should not be a career path, it should be an honor that is taken and then given up after a short length of time. I think states should also have term limits.

He announced that Iran had re-opened the Strait of Hormuz, but in the same sentence said the US Navy was going to continue its blockade. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Trump is loosing his mind and the world is watching in real time as it happens.

I most definitely remember watching Mr. Cronkite as well as David Brinkley and Chet Huntley when they delivered the news. They didn’t offer opinions, they just told us who, what, when, where, how and why. That is news reporting, answering those questions. That is all.

I think I found that same “reaction video” a while back. I like watching the faces of these Gen Z young people as they react to music before auto tune, when you had to really be talented and know how to sing. There are a few in today’s music who don’t use auto tune, but not many.

We don’t do this in the US because it makes too much sense. Jimmy Carter had solar panels installed on the WH, Reagan had them taken down. Personally, I think having solar panels covering parking lots would be a great idea, but I know I am in the minority on that.

Trump doesn’t want “peace talks” with Iran to succeed. Why else would he send in 2 real estate guys and a VP he doesn’t like and who stands for nothing? Netanyahu is the one who is really pulling the strings here, so there will be no serious negotiations until Bibi says so.
