Now to be bluntly realistic: the odds of the Canadian electorate going from Liberal to NDP in one election are about as likely as me winning a Nebula. What the NDP should focus on is crafting a distinct identity that can resonate with voter needs, which we know will not be met by Con or Lib policy.

There's a perpetual confusion in Canada that polls indicate where policy should go, instead of the reality that polls show where politicians have failed to lead.
