The most egregious one (and I've read a few) suggests that regarding out gay men as "brave" is "oppressive" towards closeted gay men and I just... can't. Am I out in general? Yes. Am I going to scream about the fact in a bar packed with rugby players? No. These essayists don't grasp the subject.
