Downgraded to an old Intuos Pro from 2013 because my modern one was chewing through nibs and its surface sheet at a ridiculous rate. It's taking some getting used to after years of not using it, but it's coming back to me. I'll try to post the sketches I'm doing to test it out, even if I'm nervous.

It can be incredibly hard to see your progress when recovering from depression or burnout. The whole world keeps demanding certain benchmarks of you to the point that it’s easy to feel like a failure despite your hard work. Remember your progress is your own journey. Every win means something.

I want to connect with more artists and people who are passionate, not only about my work, but also the things that they are doing as well.

As easy as it is to get overwhelmed with the state of the world and isolating, that is often an accelerator of things. Community and empathy for others is the only way we can make the change we want to see.

Don’t assume they know. They don’t. If someone’s creative work made you happy, touched you, or made you pause for a moment … let them know. It can mean the world to them.

Want to make someone’s day? Look up the @furaffinity.net account of your favorite artist, musician, or writer. Find their social media or the contact form on their website, and just tell them: ‘I love your work.’ Bonus points if you add why you love it and what about it got you excited. :)

As a side note I’ve experimentally done a couple of more zoomed out kinda pieces I’d be willing to take a crack at for roughly 1.5-2x portrait price depending on complexity like this one if anyone is interested in that (Inkmaven’s here still needs PS cleanup and signing lol)

Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.

"Eternal Darkness" A digital piece roughly inspired by Wintersun - Eternal Darkness and the urge to create something weird and kinda surreal. I was also playing Hollow Knight at the time when I started this piece, so that likely influenced the patterns and shapes as well. #art #digitalart
