Mental health matters ya’ll ❤️ Putting this out more to get things off of my chest than anything, but I’ve not been having a great year. Moving, basement flooding, grandma passing away, physical injury, illness, extremely expensive transmission overhaul, way way way too much work. It’s been a lot.

i think folks tend to get lost in the sauce of righteousness that we forget cons are run by our fellow community members, by majority volunteer work. we wouldn't have these spaces to be safe and be with our loved ones without them. its ok to disagree, but don't be abusive about it lol.

Mmm just want to quietly say, as we approach Anthrocon… please remember con staff, at almost every level, are unpaid volunteers who are doing a lot of work out of a love for their community. Be kind, and see con staff as your allies, even if there are policies you don’t understand or agree with.
