A warm session at the Naze on tuesday. No pied flycatcher for me, but plenty of chiff chaff families, spotted flycatchers and a juvenile green woodpecker. The sand martin colony looks like Petra from the Last Crusade!

Excellent visit to Devil's dyke today Very hot at 10am. Butterflies always in the move. Over 70 chalk hill blues seen, plus 4 Dk green fritillary, various whites, peacocks, gatekeeper, meadow brown, small copper.
