With so many serious and terrible things happening in the world, I feel frivolous in posting this: I feel as though this was the best season of Bridgerton so far. I needed to see the happy ending.

Having grown up in an indoctrinating Christian religion, this makes me sick at heart. I'm so glad to be free!

If you stand anywhere on this earth and see bare earth, or deep cut ravines with steep walls on either side, or you find eroded soils, you know that you are viewing a sickened part of the planet. It means that natural systems have been destroyed, ignored, or removed. This means humans have meddled.

We live in a disconnected world. Our God is money, power, and being ahead of or better than others. We glory in competition. We've lost the idea of community, of helping others, of service. We've forgotten that everything on this planet is connected. We can't live without everything else living.

Five corporations control 90% of the US media market. Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today. Four giants control 80% of meat processing. The evidence of corporate consolidation is everywhere. It means more power for them and less freedom for you.

We have no idea just how far behind the United States will be in 2028. We'll have nothing: no national science infrastructure, no agricultural progress, no medical progress. The oligarch class has decided to hollow America out in a hedge fund takeover. We are being robbed of our future.

It takes me two days to groom our puppers. Bath and blowout first day. 2nd day trim paw fur & grind nails. Today, while dogs hanging in hammock on porch, abandoned cat we've been giving food & water chooses to wander in front of dogs. Husky watches intently. Our large mixed breed loses his sh*t. 🙄

Honestly, the more a person looks into the environmental damage humans are causing, the more overwhelming the list of our "crimes" becomes. Focusing on any one environmental issue can be hard because the required solutions are complex and need to be holistic.

When I was at a religious crossroads in my life, I explored paganism, and from Wicca I learned "An it do no harm, do what you will." This seems like such a simple phrase, but in reality has great depth. If we all lived by this creed, all of the world would be much better off.

I agree with this principle. I believe that (for large corps) boycotting businesses, having no-shop days, and other clever ways of hitting back with the power of the wallet, in large numbers, is a great way to make a point. It only works if enough people cooperate so that an impact is felt.
