⠀ familiar? ⠀ ( the voice calls back, vaguely resembling that of the ‘lad’ who baited them into buying the accursed tape in the first place. the sounds of footsteps kick up. ) ⠀

⠀ ( frenzy slides across the floor & down the hall, the decibels he’s producing doubling enough to bust the lights out & shroud his transforming figure & mass shifting in complete darkness. the process finishes & eerie silence is left, ⠀ 𖬺

⠀ ( a shrill, piercing sounds seems to resonate from the media within their hold, seemingly growing more intense as time elapses. the tape vibrates & grows excruciatingly hot FAST, hoping they’ll drop him. ) ⠀

⠀ ( the machine grinds & whirs, attempting to read the tape before popping open all at once & forcefully ejecting it. the speed sends the cassette flying across the room & embeds it into the wall by one of its corners. ) ⠀

⠀ ( the cassette has an identical appearance that any other would, save for its blue color. nothing is written on it to indicate what it holds, neither. ) ⠀
