Huge day, can’t quite believe we’re going to win the title again. Whilst technically the 6th in my lifetime, I was barely able to kick a football for the first four. Whilst yes this is Klopp’s side on paper, you have to give serious praise to Slot. It’s a massive achievement.

Starting playing TLOU remastered again, about half way in. Such a great game, story unparalleled but technically the second is levels above. Think it’s my fourth or fifth time now and naturally going to follow up with Part 2. What I’d give for a Part 3.

I’m sure Slot will celebrate, but imagine it’ll be brief as he’ll be planning how to do this all over again next season. He’s so focused on improvement and I imagine he’ll have hopes/plans of how we’ll strengthen the squad to only give us a greater chance to go again.

Liverpool looked slow and weak. It might be fatigue, but it has to be addressed come summer. I hate being bullied on the pitch.

This might be a sign of what to come next season, if Trent does go. We’ll badly need to fix how we process the ball effectively without him.

It’ll sound dramatic but right now I can only name 4 maybe 5 guaranteed starters in the Liverpool 11 next season. Should any of the contracts be resolved that number obviously rises. Right now I’d say a 9, LB, CM/DM and LW are primary signings still, in that order.

It’s not though, as there are clear mitigating factors. Nunez doesn’t need explaining. Jota has always been up and down, but injuries seem to have caught up. Diaz arguably better under Slot, but again has always been erratic. There is only so much coaches can do, we need new signings.

They’ll be a ton of criticism at players, maybe even the manager but we’re so far ahead of where I’d expect us to be. You can see the issues in the squad, there is a ton of work still to do and yet we’re going to win a league title in year one of Slot’s reign.

Whatever said, fair play to PSG. They’re one hell of a side.

Whatever happens, these are two extremely high quality sides.

As good as PSG were, there were significant gaps and risks taken, which we badly failed to exploit for the most part. You would imagine that doesn’t happen again.

The game tomorrow is massive, as is Sunday but I’m pretty confident about both. No doubting last week was difficult, but I just can’t see a repeat. Slot will have learnt plenty, as will the players. Plus Anfield on a European night is always a cauldron.

Still can’t believe we beat PSG. What a mad game.

So I might need to buy this and have another go around on both masterpieces.

As one sided as the first half was, the game plan largely worked in the second. Efforts largely became more speculative and counter opportunities grew, we just struggled to make any of them count, until that one moment. Salah, Diaz and Jota will never play that poorly again.

Exhausted after that. Alisson with an all timer and to be fair second half was better, we just lacked quality in attack until the substitutions and that moment. Crazy result, but we’ve watched others do it for years.
