As exciting, former PhD student, Stephanie Gaudreau, has just published 2 more first-authored papers. They describe her tremendous work showing specific developmental changes in ion channels of primary motoneurons of zebrafish. She shows that these changes affect firing properties AND motor output.

Huge week for the lab. Firstly, we received a CIHR project grant to study the role of spinal dI3 neurons in recovery of locomotor activity after spinal cord injury. We're very excited to tackle these projects to bring new insights to inform how to treat loss of motor function after SCI.
