I really love this, when a writer puts just a few little bits of their own idiolect into the mouths of their characters, like they're all living in this slightly tweaked alt universe where that one person's quirks became the way everyone talks

I think a very minor, persistent detail in my writing that I wont ever change is romantically-involved characters referring to each other as "sweets" instead of "sweetie" Its something inspired by my personal life but it feels unique in a fun way. Idk if I ever heard/seen it used by anyone else
