Survived GenCon! Good book sales and one of the best Writers' Symposiums I've ever attended! The crowds were huge but well behaved. This year's balloon sculpture was amazing:

And we are in GenCon! If you're here, don't try to drive through downtown unless you can't avoid it. Lots of lane closures. Took us 45 minutes to circle the Con center just to get a parking place. That said, the con is live this morning. I have 4 panels spaced two hours apart, to lots of walking.

Just got back last week from a week-long cruise up the Rhine River, from Amsterdam to Basel Switzerland. Man, what a pleasure, not to mention a wonderful dive into history! So many cathedrals... really drives home the grip of religion on society over the last dozen centuries or so.

Going on vacay for a week or so... out of US. Not even bringing my computer, so no writing, no social media, nothing but relax, see he sights, read, eat, drink... Maybe I'll come back... 😬
