the thing that's really cool about all this GenAI crap is that once it all melts down in the fully predictable fashion maybe we get to re-normalize just running a business that turns a small profit without having to have delusional fever dreams of 100x growth in order to access funding

It's been almost a week since I was laid off and I feel so much happier, so much less stressed. Life feels smaller in a really meaningful and good way. It won't get to last for long but I want to savor this before I have to rejoin the rat race.

South Park is also quite nice, and a 10-15min walk from Moscone. It’s where we’ve held Roguelike Celebration meetups in the past. There’s a Blue Bottle right on the park if you need caffeine (and there used to be an awesome Italian cafe a block away, but I think it’s closed?)
