Alan Selby (left) founded Mr. S Leather in London before moving to San Francisco in the late 1970s. Selby served on the board of the AIDS Emergency Fund and produced events that raised over 1 million for the AEF. He volunteered at the SF General Hospital.

Pam Meyer was a leatherwoman and softball player from Madison. She was titled Ms. Gay Madison 1990-91, Ms. Midwest Leather 1992, and International Ms. Leather 1999. Meyer worked in construction and volunteered for the Madison AIDS Support Network, Red Cross, Fire Department and Hazmat clean up team.

Sharon Wray was a leatherwoman and LGBT activist in Memphis. She was the owner of the bars Sharon's and WKRB. Her bar was described as "benefit central" for the number of charitable events she hosted there.
