SUBMITTED TO US: Bloomington and 35th was held for 7 hours, withstanding two sweeps. Neighbors and friends re-erected the blockade within minutes after both sweeps - before police had even retreated - thanks to the support of neighbors who dropped off more supplies and hot drinks. .

Ambulance just easily passed through; the entire blockade and brass band went silent so traffic could be organized for them to pass quickly.

Police came back to the barricade at 35th & Bloomington with more forces, pushed community defenders onto the sidewalks, and stole equipment. But the defenders immediately return and rebuild

A filter blockade doesn't take much! Over the last few days we have seen neighborhoods throughout Minneapolis adapting, learning, and building to protect their communities from ICE. Here are some tips submitted by folks on the ground on setting up your own filter blockade!

NEWS FROM THE BARRICADES: Today, hundreds of community members were able to safely pass through the filter blockade. When ICE Agents tried, they were repelled. For a free Minneapolis, For one another.

TODAY: Minneapolis PD officers dressed in riot gear and armed with long guns stormed into three different filter blockades, chasing away community members and removing infrastructure that was actively being used to monitor and combat ICE activity. We protect us--even if MPD wont.

HOW IT WORKS: Community defenders stop an out of state vehicle at the filter blockade, run the plate through a database, and confirm whether the vehicle is affiliated with abductors before letting it through.

Energy is warm and joyous, blockade day two. Come join.
