Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users. While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

Sunset on Friday 18th December 1908. I have cleaned-up this astounding autochrome photograph of twilight 117 years ago, taken in colour by Julien Gérardin. It is an original colour plate, not colourised.

Our local history museum has this painting of "Tinkle" in their collection but I have NEVER seen it on display. Always in storage. They open for the season May 9th and we're very anxious to see if it's out this year. Unknown artist, 1883.

Give kitty treat! Etruscan art frequently features cats; on vases and tomb paintings in Tarquinia and Orvieto, domestic felines crouch expectantly under banquet tables and couches. This is more unusual, almost Greek, with the cat leaping for a treat. 🏺 🐈⬛

A dune landscape in the vicinity of Namibia's Skeleton coast is caressed by the last light of day, a special, golden glow that lives only in the humid air of our planet's oceans.

Light is at its most powerful the moment it first breaks through the dark. Before it all fades away, the last light of day touches the ridges of an endless sea of coastal sand dunes in Namibia.

Golden light meets restless tide, whispers dance where secrets hide. Winds embrace the rugged stone, A fisherman stands, yet not alone. As the ocean hums a mournful song, waves retreat, then surge along. Storm and sunset intertwine, nature's fury, fierce, but divine.
