I went to business school so that you don’t have to. There’s not a lot you can’t figure out without having any type of formal training, but those few things that I learned in school that you probably don’t know do make a huge difference..

Since I opened my firm, I’ve been most passionate about working with Black creatives. People who are passionate about their own art and want to make a living off of it. I think I’m going to extend that to small businesses in general. Focusing on helping Black women and men not just creatives. 

Figure out what a unique selling proposition is and then make sure you have one. You may have figured it out before, but just don’t know what that is by name. Knowing business terms by name, though will set you apart for sure when it comes to trying to get investors.

NO DAYS OFF IS NOT A FUCKIN FLEX ! Ideally you will have AT LEAST 2 days off. What are yours ? I honestly do end up working daily now bc I have multiple businesses and I love what I do but when I don't feel like it... I go ahead and park my ass somewhere.
