I was 4 when I went to see boys in the hood. My dad put me on the counter so I could explain I won't cry over a R rated movie. Initially they wouldn't give us tickets 😒 My dad told them I won't cry but they didn't believe him. After talking to me they gave us tickets The 90s 🤣🤣

It takes that THIRD friend without kids to flatly tell both parents exactly what faults & tendencies BOTH their kids have! "Naw, your kid is a lying snitch, THAT'S why the other kids don't play with her! And YOUR kid will throw a rock & hide her hand! Stop playing y'all raising angels!"

It's a wild experience when you're friends with someone and your kids are friends as well. When something happens and the other mom/daughter duo needs to vent it's interesting how different their perceptions of what happened can be.

We already know that it's important for us to move our bodies every single day. And we know that being out in nature is extremely helpful for multiple reasons. Still... when it's cold and gray or rainy or snowy it's easy to let ourselves off the hook for the day. But honestly.. it's best you still

Don't just teach your kids how to be obedient. Teach them to think critically and use discernment too. The worse thing you can teach them is to blindly follow any perceived authority figure.
