This quote sounds like it could be a a Latino who was detained by ICE. It isn’t. The quote is from 1956. The speaker is Jo Ann Allen Boyce (1942-2025), one of the first 14 Black students to desegregate the public H.S. in Clinton TN. This is who we are.
