Name cycles are so fascinating to me. When I was in school in the 90s and 2000s, there were so many kids named Jessica, Ashley, Brandon, John, etc. I don’t think my kids have any classmates with those names. Idk a Brandon under 35 😂 My nephew is named Michael but he’s also named after his dad.

I can’t believe how stupid everything is

I'm doing something different with food for Christmas this year. I don't feel like cooking a bunch of stuff and eating the same food we literally just ate a month ago. So, I am gonna do a crabcake dip, a beef dip w/ chips, veggie tray, smoked chicken wings, cookies, deviled eggs, and meatballs.

My heart aches for D'Angelo and Angie Stone's son. I know the pain of losing a parent to a terminal illness but I cannot imagine having that happen in the same year as losing the other parent in a car accident. It is so incredibly tragic and unfair for that young man, who is only 26-27 years old.

The SC State Fair is here and I want to go but also don't want to. Everything is overly expensive and it shouldn't cost hundreds of dollars to take four people to a damn fair. Also folks been falling off fair rides lately so I'm good on that 😅

I needed comfort food so I made a chicken orzo soup. Mostly freezer and pantry ingredients with herbs from my garden.
