👋 Going to jump back in this week, starting with an overhaul for the docs. I'm not happy with them as they are.

There is one particular piece of English grammar that I categorically despise. It's that I have to write "an HTTP" in formal writing, even though it makes it harder for me to read.

I decided that it can’t hurt to give it a go. The pattern is called “request-derived context”, and I’m almost finished with a somewhat formal definition.

I've “created” an architectural design pattern, that represents a widely known and understood concern. I'd like to publish it, but I'm struggling to find a way to do it, that doesn't make me feel like a presumptuous asshole. Who am I to claim that I have created a “concept”?

Working on a little pet project, and I've thrown together a very rudimentary identity map for Eloquent. It's only 84 lines of code. I should put this in an article!

I could, I’m sure, present each topic in a much simpler way that takes less time. I heard a quote recently, I forget where and in what context, but it was something like: “are you making a business or are you making art?” I think I’m making art? I think that’s why it’s so painful and rewarding.

Someone I was very close too and grew up with, has just been elected as the Reform candidate for the area he lives in. I knew he’d gone right wing, but, I think I was the last person to genuinely believe that he’d turn it all around. There’s no chance now. It’s heart breaking.

You know what, I'm just going to write articles using HTML and Blade. The faffing to style markdown output, or customise the markup it generates, is annoying. This is quick, and simple. I am not sure why I didn't do this before.
