I haven't posted much here in the last few days mostly because I'm still discombobulated after my mom's death. She was sick for a very long time and we knew her passing would be sooner rather than later, but with her gone it's like I'm walking around with a hole in my reality.

Today's one of those days where I just need to curl up with some light comfort reading. Which, for me, means I'm going to continue Giorgio Vasari's 1568 edition of Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects. That's what light reading means, right?

Spent four and a half hours today frantically doing an anti-ICE painting. It was all I could think to do. I will probably have it finished tomorrow, and will share it here. I don't know whether it will be considered good or not, but I do hope people share it around. I am just so sick of everything.

It takes a special kind of asshole to lecture the internet on the meaning of a two minute movie scene when that person can't even remember what happens during it.

I get people asking about if I have a Patreon, but I don't feel like I could keep up a regular schedule for my art that would be satisfying. When I came back to art in 2020, I promised that I would put my needs for it ahead of what others wanted out of it, and I feel that has served me well.

Anything else killed 5 people 3 weeks into the year, we'd see 24/7 coverage and investigations galore.
