Finished Tomb Raider 2013 and started up Rise of the Tomb Raider. Holy moly on PC you could have convinced me this was a game that came out last year. Visually the game is still incredible. Weirdly, I don’t remember playing this one much, most likely cause it came out while I was in college.

You can almost tell a game is gonna be something special if the soundtrack is real good... and The Blood of Dawnwalker's main theme is already a killer track.

Making it a goal of mine to have things to do outside of the house at least three times a week. Working from home for so long has started to weigh on me quite a bit. So far I’m going back to the gym in the mornings, I go to a coffee shop every Wednesday for script writing, and I’ve got pickleball.

Decided to load up Tomb Raider 2013 and man visually it really holds up. Shame Crystal Dynamics has gone through so much trouble in recent years. Just a really talented studio.

Game of Thrones really got it in everyone’s heads that there needs to be shocking deaths in finale’s to make them worthwhile. Wasn’t sure how Stranger Things would wrap, but was pleasantly surprised by how touching and emotional the final epilogue was and that was more satisfying than anything.

Some fun Second Wind stats for 2025. Accumulated 37 million views on YouTube for the year. Had over 12,000 paid subscribers across Patreon, YouTube and Ko-fi. Launched our work for hire arm and helped launch three different games + Guild Wars documentary. Yahtzee only poked one of my eyes out.

In 2025 we stopped posting any SW updates on Twitter. I personally kept it installed to help keep finding new indie games to follow, but not really interact. This year it’s going in the same pile as 4chan, Kiwifarms, etc. No matter how many games posts you like, it gets filled with right slop.

Between influencers spreading straight up lies, and defamation unchecked, and AI bullshit like this… this country is in for a reckoning when it comes to media law soon.

I did things a little differently this year for the games I tracked. Counted both the games that I played and beat, but also the games that I put a significant amount of time into, but didn't fully finish. Got a lot better this year about valuing my time. Still enjoyed every game on this list.

Sometimes I wanna be able to take credit for the work I did outing that scam… but boy is it satisfying seeing it crumble and fall apart over the last year either way. Good note to end this year on is watching these guys lose lol.

The development story of Routine is an inspiring one. Aaron Foster and Jemma Hughes had to see this game through to the end, even though it took 13 years to get it into players hands.
