Can confirm that the Nationals have signed righty reliever Trevor Gott to a minor league deal, per source. @ken-rosenthal.bsky.social first. Gott had good underlying metrics in ‘22/23 but had TJ in April ‘24 and hasn’t pitched in the majors since. 9.16 ERA in limited AAA stint last year.

The Colorado Rockies have their first big league free agent of the offseason: RHP Michael Lorenzen for one-year, $8 million #Rockies also hold a $9 million option for 2027, according to @JeffPassan. Lorenzen had a 4.64 ERA in 27 games (26 starts) with Kansas City last year.

Per a source, the Red Sox are finalizing deals for all four of their arg eligible players today: Tanner Houck, Triston Casas, Romy Gonzalez and Johan Oviedo. They expect to reach deals with all four by the end of the day, avoiding arb hearings.

CJ Abrams and the Nationals have agreed at $4.2 million to avoid arbitration, per source.
