It's a small graphic design detail, but the loitering guy on TTC signage is actually in front of the red slash, casually leaning against it, making him look *unbelievably* cool.

social housing w/ 67 homes in a single loaded corridor high rise in BCN. this building is incredibly thin. units have daylight on 2-3 sides and i like the interstitial wintergarden as entry space

I get that they're forcing ML on everyone, but I'd be less mad if they had called it something else. The machine doesn't "learn", since it's working from the same model every time. They should have called it "artificial intelligence" because it's like an artificial sweetener - same goal, but fake

i think they're just showing it for variation/contrast to the rigidity of how we do things. that flexibility does exist to a greater degree w/ PABs a la BIG in aarhus w/ (9) connected point access blocks for this architecturally stunning project.

I have this idea for a video game where there's a fast travel option but every time you fast travel there's a 12% chance instead of taking you to your destination it drops you off in an entirely different place and then there's an ultrahard on-foot section. I call it "the Toronto Transit Commission"

then the appearance arises that the task is to map "OOP", or "FP", or "TDD", or whateverthefuckkindofnoise-oriented programming onto the core proposition of UB. the task is to throw all those things on the exact same burn pile as the collected works of all the apologists for UB, and start fresh

mass timber single stair tower in france, with family sized homes this building is 166% taller than seattle allows, and a whopping 433% taller than current 'international' building code in US allows. also note the spiral stair. also illegal.

It includes *seven* sample station designs. This is Model Station Design No. 5. You'll recognize this if you've ever taken the DC Metro or the subway in Montreal. Note that the ancillary/back of house spaces are primarily tucked into the ends of the mezzanine level instead of extending the box.
