This week I joined the Internet Watch Foundation for the launch of their report on AI child sexual abuse material. In 2025 the IWF identified 3,440 AI-generated child sexual abuse videos. This is an increase of 26,362% - a terrifying statistic.

It was lovely to join my colleague Julia Buckley MP to support her campaign to improve the reuse of our rainwater!

A huge thank you to Claire Ranger from Hammond and Dummer Bespoke Opticians for giving me a tour of their wonderful site in our city centre. It was great to hear about the clinical ophthalmology services that Claire and her team are offering including services like behavioural optometry.

I had a truly wonderful time celebrating Eid with our community in Milton Keynes It was also great to see the launch of the Milton Keynes Unity Organisation that is bringing women and families together through sewing and skills development classes and arts and craft exhibitions.

It was a real pleasure to host a roundtable alongside the Molly Rose Foundation in Parliament. The Molly Rose Foundation are working tirelessly to make our online sphere a safer environment for young people and not one that capitalises off their distress.

It was great to meet with Foreign Secretary: Yvette Cooper and fellow MPs to discuss the UK’s role in international development. International development is so much more than just charity.

Last week, I had the privilege of viewing the art made by the learners at MK SNAP whilst it was being displayed at Unity Place! From art celebrating our city to pieces about kindness, acceptance and even penguins – the wealth of talent from MK SNAP is simply incredible.

In the Chamber today, I asked the Foreign Secretary whether she will work with me to strengthen and expand our aid efforts, particularly in fragile states and in support of women, girls and LGBT communities.

At Tuesday’s Science, Technology & Innovation Committee, I raised concerns about new immigration rules impacting Chevening scholars and their visas. These students are key to our global science partnerships - if we want to lead, we must support them, not hold them back.

We cannot continue with a system where harmful pornography is restricted offline but freely accessible online. There must be parity in regulation to properly protect young people and tackle violent content - I welcome the work of the BBFC in setting clear standards.

A huge thank you to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association for hosting such a wonderful International Women’s Day event and bringing together women from so many different faiths.

The loan charge scandal has affected the lives of so many across the UK, putting individuals through unimaginable amounts of distress. As Vice Chair of the Loan Charge APPG, I want to see justice brought to these victims and I was glad to bring this up again in the Chamber yesterday.

On Friday we held the first round of the MK Schools Debate, an opportunity for young people across the city to go head-to-head debating topical issues such as social media for under 16s and the role of PR.

Sunday was a powerful and moving day for our city as we remembered and celebrated the lives of those who we lost in the COVID-19 pandemic. For some their lives returned to normal when the pandemic ended, but for many others their grief lived on.

After such a powerful weekend of celebrating International Women’s Day, I’ve been thinking back to the incredible photos taken by Ruth Toda-Nation to celebrate women MPs making up 40% of the Commons.

It was really lovely to join the Willen Hospice Retail Team at their new shop in Brooklands! 💙 Their staff are doing an incredible job giving the store such a friendly feel and creating amazing displays 🧣

I’ve been speaking to both young people, parents and carers within Milton Keynes about online safety for young people. 📱 One thing is clear that social media companies are not doing enough to create a safe environment for the online sphere.

Today is 5 years since the heartbreaking murder of Sarah Everard – my thoughts are with her loved ones. Her murder by a serving Met police officer, revealed how deep violence against women and girls runs in our society.
