Let me speak to the DOGE audit language. Many people who work in both the Treasury and specifically the IRS are CPAs. Most audit firms hire CPAs. A 19yo coder has absolutely no idea how to accurately identify waste or fraud. Calling what DOGE is doing as a audit, is a flat out lie.

In the coming weeks, a lot of slow-on-the uptake folks are going to begin belatedly realizing Trump is both an inept moron and a dangerous autocrat. Our great civic challenge in these trying times will be calmly welcoming them aboard instead of primal-screaming in their faces.

And media is now well aware of Elon’s shenanigans removing posts that are critical of him, changing the algorithm to favor his posts, taking down Community notes that embarrass him. So why continue describing him as a “free speech absolutist,” we must ask.

It would be cool if book stores indie and chain did a March for Science month in…March.😊 Set up a nice display of science books in a prominent area of stores would be great. Science sections are often buried in back corners.😟
