Self imposed segregation only furthers the decline of religion among the masses. Since many Christians today aim to impose their beliefs upon everyone this appears as a recognition they are losing. Simple kindness, compassion and tolerance might be a better solution.

I’ll be honest—some of these are uncommon outside of specific areas of the south. You’re not likely to find gator tails in Appalachia; livermush is very much a North Carolina thing. Shrimp & grits started out coastal & is still more common in shrimp-fishing areas. Burgoo is more common in Kentucky.
