Sentenced to be a Hero is off to a great start so far. The characters are nothing special(Though I enjoy Teoritta a lot), but they were very well characterized, and the world building was excellent and super interesting.

In the end I did wind up replacing the pointers + while loop with a span. Turning the whole iteration thing into a ranges pipeline is nice enough, but if you wanted/needed to do it iteratively I'm still unsure the advantage of span over pointers

If I have a vector of bytes(read from a binary file) I'm having a hard time understanding why I would want to use a span to iterate over some portion of it to read out as other types, rather than getting pointers to the start and end of that portion and iterating that way
