Just reading the Flesh-Eater Courts leaks and I'm like...

Good haul from Warhammer World this weekend. 1st place Favourite Army, 5th place Best General (4-1) and Best Stormcast. Having to lug this big metallic Stormcast art home (was the prize for Best Painted 🤷‍♂️) Most importantly, as always, 5 amazing games and lots laughs with friends old and new.

Finally got round to finishing the build and basing this little lady and her weird horse. I think she be The One. Now I just have to get her painted for Warhammer World this weekend! 😬

Yaeraggh, Grand Matriarch of the Attendant Amora... I went with halo #4 in the end because it fits the theme best and also I enjoy the juxtaposition of it's delicacy against the necrosis of the beast.

Just finished painting up tha fantastic. board game Oathsworn: Into The Deepwood. These are the 12 PCs but the really interesting bit of this game is the sealed and number encounter boxes that you don't open until the story demands it, so each one is a surprise! (Full pics in the comments)

Painted up some Darkoath Savagers to join the ranks of the Mother of Dragons.

Had a funny little commission this week doing a bunch of replacement bases for one client who has had several armies from me over the years but somehow lost some of the bases for each of the armies!? I don't think I've ever lost a base for a painted model so not really sure how he did that? 🤷‍♂️

Saved the best 'til last. My Wendigo riders. Yes, they are all riding Varghulf Courtiers. Don't worry though, I bought 6 copies of the FEC spearhead when Morbhegs were the hotness so managed it sell all the other bits from the box which made them reasonably priced.

Okay this is my favourite one so far. This is my counts as Lorai from The Blacktalons. Stole the head from the Mistweaver Saih as it has an amazing crescent moon detail which fits the theme perfectly. Can't wait to paint this one!

Another Stormcast from my Stormcast, The Attendant Amora. One of Neave's companions but swapped out the ugly crossbow for a proper bow. I'm actually quite pleased with how seamless it looks tbh. She already has a hooded head which was good as my stock of Wildwood Ranger heads is running low now.

Bought White Dwarf for the first time in many years this weekend so that I could read the Roman Lappat feature on his framed dioramas. Felt inspired to add some colours to the one I built with him at our workshop earlier this year. It's far from finished but I am super happy with the progress

Next up is some Longstrikes/Hurricanes. I've actually mostly been running them as Hurricanes. I swapped out the ugly weird contraptions for the Kruleboyz Boltboyz bows because they look much more Erstwood.

One of the best bits about heavily converting an army is that you can play the same models as multiple units and nobody will even notice. So far these ladies have tried their hands at being Annihilators, Vanquishers and now Reclusions. Trying to settle on a list before I start painting this time.

One of the ways I've been spending my DCYP time when not with or on something I started in a workshop with one of the other artists, is finally building The Attendant Amora, the concept for which I came up with 9 years ago when I first conceived of The Erstwood narrative. This is Yaeraggh. #wip

As part of my DCYP I've been building the Attendant Amora, my take on the SCE, using only the female sculpts. That is, apart from this one model. This is Daecyrr, they are a tran person, because TRANS PEOPLE EXIST. We are focusing on the wrong 1%. EAT THE FUCKING RICH. Leave Trans people alone.

Not sure exactly why but sitting here painting this spooky tree, more than anything I've been doing recently, has suddenly filled me with an overwhelming sense that The Erstwood is finally coming to life in a way that I always hoped it eventually would...

I'm still high on the news about the rerelease Wildwood Ranger heads... Really hope Palladors don't get nerfed too hard next week, this unit has taken a long time!

To celebrate the rerelease of Wildwood Ranger heads I decided to finish up my Shanay-im inspired Prosecutors. I used kitchen roll and PVA to make the long flowy robes. I think it turned out pretty good, no? Gonna take them to a cheeky one dayer this Saturday.

Although obviously the best news of the Adepticon reveals is the rerelease of Wildwood Ranger heads. If you're planning on building any Eternal Gaurd I will pay hard cash for your Wildwood Ranger heads.

Very nice of GW to release a lady dragon for my all women SCE army. That's my Krondys/Karazai sorted. (Also they absolutely knocked it out of the park with that entire range, only change I'd make is to put it onto circles).
