The near daily barrage of deadly mass shootings in America feels like low level warfare against normal citizens who just want to live in peace. And because people keep electing Republicans who won’t do anything about it there’s no solution in sight.

We just proved it with Kimmel, stood together, spoke with our wallets, and made the bully blink. That’s the playbook. Because they won’t stop pressing us under until we rip their hands off our necks. We need a government by the people, for the people. No other way. Stay divided, and we drown.

And her “defend murderers” nonsense? That’s cheap smear politics. No Democrat platform protects violent criminals. DC’s Democratic mayor and Biden both pushed for stronger safety and accountability. Murderers are prosecuted no matter who’s in charge.

And DC’s crime drop matches the national trend across big cities, pandemic spikes followed by sharp declines driven by police innovation, federal aid, and community work. Credit goes to years of effort, not Trump swooping in with troops so he could steal the next election.

I practiced criminal law for 29 years in a jurisdiction that had all Republican sheriffs, police chiefs, AGs, judges, & governors. And there were LOTS of violent repeat offenders of different ages & races who committed lots of horrible crimes for different reasons or no reason.
