It is just a reminder that in Biden we needed President Grant. But it also comes down to all of us. We failed to keep pressure on elected officials to hold certain folks accountable. The union was never going to just “snap” back into place. It needed to be rebuilt, with that comes consequences.

Yes he bankrupt the archdiocese of Milwaukee so they wouldn’t have to pay the blind and deaf kids they abused when they sued them. He was given a promotion for doing that by the way. Something like 200 kids in Milwaukee were abused. I know Alex Garland did that whole documentary about it on HBO.

What ICE just did to me was a violent abuse of power — and yet it’s nothing compared to what they’re doing to immigrant communities. I’ve been fighting the right as a journalist and now I’m running for Congress to do the same in DC. Because we deserve leaders who will actually stand up for us.

Who’s going to go fight in Afghanistan 2.0? Recruitment numbers are very low. The DoD is kicking qualified service members out. The WH has cut VA funding to the bone, the Pact Act is being withheld financially. The Nat’l Guard is deployed to American cities. 18 yr olds then? #Veterans

Multiple generations of people who idolized WW2 and loved every piece of media & footage. Not realizing an entire network deluded their brains into thinking that their motivations to stop the Axis powers meant nothing other than glorifying violence. It just hit me like a ton of bricks.

A couple more thoughts on this. There is exactly one crime defined in the U.S. Constitution: treason. The first definition is levying war against the United States. Trump is explicitly threatening that. U.S. soldiers are not only permitted, they are *obliged* to refuse an order to commit treason.

If this psychopath knew anything about “Apocalypse Now” he’d know Colonel Kilgore symbolizes the absurdity and arrogance of America in Vietnam; a military commander who treats war like sport, finding joy and opportunity in destruction—which he equates to victory—with little regard for the outcome.

As his administration has forced cuts to the VA. Is purposefully stopping the funding of the Pact Act and is forcing soldiers to do police work / DHS work while never making the wages they make. There needs to be a massive US Grant style retribution after this. As a veteran it’s so insane.

Every time you hear something like this from a republican (mind you one who dodged the draft). Just know when they say “we didn’t go all in.” They mean we didn’t drop nukes on them. Because since WW2, we’ve been “ALL IN” Iraq & Afghanistan nearly destroyed the guard/reserves & active of people.

We are becoming the bad guys. So if you aren’t afraid yet. You should be. We have military in our streets, we have extrajudicial killings at sea. We have a military that seems to be unfazed by its own oath to the constitution. All to please the wannabe king. What’s next will be worse. #Veterans

Right. This is an insult to every service member that died for this nation. Politically correctness didn’t lose us Vietnam, Afghanistan or Iraq. Failure to understand their populations did. Containment failed as well. What a slap in the face to every family & veteran. What the fuck. #Veterans
