@philiprsteele.co.uk Hi. With Intelligence Go, do you forecast usage based on the assumption of 7.4kW? I’m curious how you manage the wholesale purchase in advance and what load shifting does to the slots e.g. people charging their batteries in off-peak. Do you forecast that too?

Finally found the spec for OpenADR, a protocol the UK government is considering for communicating Grid Demand Side events. I’d love to build that into my Energy Manager prototype.

Working with the nRF54L14 DK from HolyIoT. Can't get my sample below 200µA. I remember that about 12 months ago I'd have been thrilled with 200µA!! I just have to work through this, like I did with the nRF52840. What's a killer is that the nRF54L15 should use about 30% less power 😂

Building a simple Matter Device Energy Manager In this post I go through the basic Device Energy Manager I creating using MatterJS. It explores how power forecasting works in Matter and implements a simple optimisation mechanism.

I got some basic Matter Device Energy Management working! In this example, you can see my peak and off-peak tariff costs along the top (green and red). When I start my Tiny Dishwasher, a forecasted usage appears. Clicking optimise then works out the cheapest time and asks it to delay its start!

Any @octopus.energy API experts out there? In the graphQL API, does flexPlannedDispatches show the times my device will be switched to charge?
