Whilst we only had a sprinkling of snow here (I’m only 5 miles from the South Wales coast so we don’t see a lot), all the unthawed sheet ice from yesterday is now hidden. 👀There may have been some slipping and sliding from both Tempest and me. 😅

It rained here last night before the minus temps kicked in over night, leaving the paths and roads covered in sheet ice. 😅 I didn’t take Tempie out until midday to give the sun time to thaw the ice, but most of the pathways were still slippery. There were several slips, but luckily no falls.

You do realise that I’ll now have to make a thread of puzzle shapes as I come across them. So let’s start with a Viking helmet. I’ve noticed the object shaped pieces have patterns laser cut into them to create outlines on the back.

One of the gifts I received today is this wooden jigsaw puzzle. Only 300 pieces but these aren’t any ordinary pieces. I haven’t opened the bag but so far, some of the shapes I’ve seen are an anchor, a dagger, and a seahorse with wings but could be a dragon with a pot belly.

Just imagine the stuffing in that. 😅 I won’t be able to leave her unsupervised with this though, as it isn’t an actual dog toy, so has plastic parts that can be chewed off.

Saying goodbye to my Switch. Funny how we can get attached to inanimate objects, because I have a new one but feel sad to see this one go. Although, one of my nephews is buying it off me, so at least it is still in the family.

When you’re in bed and you hear the bin truck coming through, hours earlier than it normally does. 😱 It was so windy didn’t last night, I decided to wait until this morning, and our street hasn’t been 1st collection of the day for almost 2 yrs now.

My neighbour messaged me to say my 9 yr old TF buddy couldn’t wait and opened his gift off me earlier. Sounds like he is happy. 😊 This is his 1st Blokee and I’m still waiting to hear what one he has.

Just hanging in there for my final working hours of the year. Admin week didn’t go as planned, on account of water pouring into the building for 2 days, so I’ll have to face that next year, so I just need to hang on in there and get over the en dog day/week/working year finish line.

So. Tired. But just 2 more days in work for the year, so I’ve got this, Hopefully without tipping the entire contents of my flask into my bag and without water pouring into the building. 💪😴

And the pipe is unblocked! A former colleague of ours works for the drain company, so he tagged us on to the end of his day. It took some pumping, but the blockage seems to have been cleared. 🤞

Still waiting for the drain company to arrive, but 2 hose pipes siphoning water out of the downpipe & umpteen trips outside to empty the wet vac later, the water level is finally low enough that the water has stopped coming in. We have to make sure this is fixed before the office closes for 2 wks. 😅

Guess what is still a problem! 😱 It was fine all night, and when I checked it on coming in this morning. About 10.30, I popped a heater in here to dry out the timber frame around the pipe, walked out the room then back in a few minutes later, to find water pouring in. Boss has been on the roof>>

I was getting stuff ready at my desk when I could hear drip, drip, drip. After yesterday’s roof leak here, eyes grew wide as I looked around for a new leak, only to find my flask, which holds 2 cups of tea, had opened in my bag and the tea was dripping out. 😱 Luckily it was after I removed my iPad.

You and me both, Tempie. But, we do only have 3 days left in work this year, so we can do it. Fingers crossed for no roof leaks in the office today.

Christmas gift for my 9 yr old Transformers buddy next door. Whichever one he gets, I’m going to be very jealous. 😅 🤔 Do I have time to think of and buy him something else instead? 😆

What a joyous morning. We just had a rather large roof leak at the office, through one of our internal downpipes. 🤦‍♀️ Roofing is one of our specialties (not house roofs) 🙈😅 My colleague and I have been diverting water, vacuuming it up with a wet vac, rinsing & repeating as everyone is out on site.🙈

Something got left under my Christmas tree 🥰. (She was not a Christmas gift). Sometimes I wish she was tiny again, mostly so I can just scoop her up, but then I remember how hard work she was. 😅 Totally worth it though.

These two when they were younger. 🥰 These days, aside from morning greeting sniffs, they mostly ignore each other.

As always, Tempie is not amused with human antics. As for the treats, they tried to give her dog chocolate there today. One sniff and she turned her nose up. If she takes a treat and it turns out to not be meat meat, or at least meat flavoured, she’ll spit it out. 😅

Great niece no. 5 arrived today. Baby, who hasn’t been named yet, wasn’t due until the 27th, but her poor mum has been in slow labour since the 21st November. 😱 Then suddenly and very quickly this morning, my great niece arrived.Both are doing well.

I still have a week left in work before our Christmas shut down, but as of now, I’m declaring my department (which consists of me) closed. I’ve sent off the last bits of a very rushed construction tender and I refuse to start a new one. Instead, I’m going to spend the week doing a year’s worth >>

They look almost as big as each other here, but Hogan is a 50-odd kilo dog and Tempest is just over 19 kilos. Hogan also snores, very loudly.

OMG! He’s been on to customer support and his brand spanking new computer likely has a software error. My shouted response “I bet it’s because it has built in AI.” 😬

My boss just ended up buying a new PC. (We did try some recovery and partitioning procedures, but nothing worked) and now his new PC won’t let him log in his credentials as it keeps looking for another user. 🤷‍♀️ Meanwhile my excel keeps crashing and I’ve had enough of computer tech.
