Well, my best friend is still alive. He was apparently responsive last night and even opened his eyes once, but they've got to get him down from 80-40% on the ventilator until they can try to extubate him. Poor guy has been through so much. I guess it's good(ish) news.

I think I'll just go to that tea dance next weekend by myself. Fuck it. It'll be whatever it is. Maybe I'll have fun, maybe I won't. More likely won't because I rarely ever have fun if I go out alone. But I don't care. I'm sick of not having friends. I'll have fun with myself goddammit!
