Here's a piece that I did as the cover for Strange as Angels Volume 1: Hell knights and Morbid Angels. It is quite a bit more embellished from the black and white cover piece. The text reads Bahal Tahl or Dark Wings in Enochian Angelic script.

Just saw this pop up on someone's Pintrest board as part of a Dungeon Synth collection. I did this one around 2011 or 12 for James Maliszewski of Grognardia. It was a tip of the hat to David C. Sutherland III's artwork. I always loved how DCSIII had these wacky little things going on in his work.

Still very much a work in progress. I have renamed the solo game to Escape the Bleak Forest, and the multi-player game will continue as Beyond the Bleak Forest. The solo game can be used as a character generator for the multiplayer game. I work slowly, but I am having fun working on it. #bleakforest

I saw Superman again in the theaters this past week. It is very rare for me to do that these days, but the sheer comic-book fun of the movie really spoke to me. I feel like this is the first time since the Superman 1978 film and Superman II that Supes has been done to my liking.

Be not afraid. Here's a piece I just did for my art zine. Turns out that I have enough unused art for 4, 20-page art zines. I've called it Strange as Angels. All four volumes will be ready to print and available for sale at my solo show at Covenant in Wellington, beginning August 1st!

I've been feeling unwell for the past several weeks and not much up to working on any of my projects. I'm starting to come right again and have finally finished this page border design that I started before I started feeling unwell. No particular use yet, but it was good to do some art. Cheers :)!

Ugh, having a stomach bug and being feverish was definitely not what I had in mind over the Easter Holiday. Been laid up in bed for the better part of three days. At least I felt well enough to work on Beyond the Bleak Forest Today. Tables, lots of tables... It is a solo game after all :)

How cool is this? I just had some custom rubber stamps made from the Wellington Rubber Stamp Company. From top to bottom: the Yellow Sign (well my take on it anyway), the Bleak Forest Cross sigil, the Ostensible Cat Design Logo, and my signatory stamp. Damn, I am thrilled with these.

I've been pretty busy with other things and simultaneously not busy and trying to stay sane while the world burns... So it has been a little difficult to focus on making art. Having said that, nothing like making stuff for your kid's 18th birthday. Here is a card I made for her with a Manuka beetle

Kia ora koutou. Pear wine is in the still and ready to be turned into brandy. The wine tasted pretty good A bit like a nincarbonated pear cider. I put it in the still with a vanilla pod and 5 cinamon sticks. Cannot wait to see how it turns out. Cheers!

Just checked on my pear brandy mash in the fermentation bucket. It has been fermenting for nine days and smells strong. If the weather cooperates, i will put it in the still in three days. I am pretty excited at my first try at brandy.

Confession, I've not watched any of the Netflix Marvel series other than Luke Cage. Not sure why, I enjoyed Luke Cage but never really found time to get to the others. Having said that, just started watching Daredevil and I am enjoying it. I love the street level superheroes.
