Question for my writer friends on Wordpress - what are you using to put epubs on your Wordpress based website? I'm dipping my toe in with a couple of short stories and things have changed since I last did this stuff.

I was on a great panel on this at @armadillocon.bsky.social - writer's block is TOTALLY a thing. I fought a lot of guilt from those who dismiss it. Mine was Day Job related and totally real for a long time. It took longer than I thought to come out of. Still learning to be kind to myself.

When I read people say PDF versions of TTRPGs should be free or only $5 because "you don't have to pay for paper or ink, so there's no cost," what they are saying is, they don't think they should have to compensate writers, artists, layout people, graphic designers, etc for their work.

In the process of typing up some stuff that I wrote (yes, I write long hand) in my random transitions - and one project completely shifted from 3rd person to 1st person. Because my brain didn't track. Fantastic. There's an interesting exercise - transitioning the tenses.

/sigh. I know it's First World problems...internet has been down because storms earlier this week. Out for ~36 hours. Up again last night. It's been ~12 hours. And...it's back down. Yay for hotspots?

This morning marks the first time in over 10 years that a storm rolled through that didn't mean I had to be concerned about anyone or anything but my family and home. We are all good here in Arlington! Except our oak tree that lost a branch.
