Most Cons have a *fan* guest of honor. We have a *Fen* guest of honor. We're pleased to welcome, in that annointed role, Scott Zrubek. Scott holds a formidable pace in fandom & Con history. Since 1997 he's been involved with LoneStarCon, WFC, WorldCon, NASFic & that's just the tip of the iceberg.

One of the greatest things about FenCon is who you meet from the SciFi, Fantasy & Speculative Fiction community. This year, we are very excited to welcome as our Special Guest, Keith Lansdale, author extraordinaire of comics, film scripts, novels & short stories as well as an editor.

The first part of "science fiction" is, of course, science. FenCon takes our choice of science guests very seriously. We are honored that 2024's Science Guest of Honor is Dr. Jancy McPhee: neuroscientist, space life-sciences expert & founder of the nonprofit organization SciArt Exchange.

HOWARD WALDROP (1946-2024) Join us in taking a moment to observe the passing of Howard Waldrop. A titan of the Texas SFF scene, he was a powerful influence on the broader genre & received the 2021 World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement. His absence will be sorely felt.
