Before and after of what they did today. I'm glad the walls aren't stained red anymore. They still have work on the carpet to do and are going to replace that ceiling panel, along with scrubbing the vents clean. Should be all done by tomorrow.

Pipe cleanup update: Maintenance has come by today to begin the painting and potentially cleaning of the carpet from last week's pipe disaster. The carpet may need to be pretreating before it's actually clean, but at least we won't have to replace it entirely. Pics of before and after later.

Final pipe update: After a week of waiting, the plumbing company finally came by and made the replacement repairs needed. One less headache from all this. Now I have to work with maintenance to repair the rust damage to the walls and carpet. It might be a long fall...

The pipe was for the water cooling system for the HVAC. Maintenance came by yesterday afternoon and finally shut the line off. They have to call a plumber to come and remove the old pipes and install new ones. Still stressed, but a bit more calm today. Year's not over yet though.

A water pipe has decided to leak in several spots in my living room ceiling. I have notified maintenance about the situation and am waiting on them to contact the proper agency to get it fixed. Meanwhile, my patience is thin, I'm stressed out, and I'm nearing the point of saying fuck it all.

Final result/autopsy: After letting it cool, I checked the inside of the flan to see if it was overcooked or not. Lo and behold, it was. Scrambled egg on the inside. The flavor was there, but the texture was way off. I either didn't have enough water in the water bath or the oven was too hot.

Decided to try and make flan today for dessert. While the prep and caramel cooking was fairly easy, I'm not sure that it came out right. When I checked it, it didn't jiggle like it is supposed to. But it doesn't look overcooked. I don't quite know what's up with it.

My cat was acting weird last night. We thought it was because of the cookie I was eating. But I remembered that I had gotten some remnants of some air freshener in my hair and she was curious about the smell. She's still a weirdo.

Has anyone felt like something with enveloping you as you were sleeping, but the pressure from that felt so real that it woke you up? I did just a few minutes ago. I don't suffer from any sleep paralysis, but just be dreaming and then feeling that while you dream was enough to scare me awake.

Woke up a couple hours ago to a notice in my door, saying that the building's AC was down and will be worked on first thing in the morning. So without realizing it, I was sleeping in my apartment in this god-awful heat and will be like this until the AC gets fixed. ...at least I have power still..

So apparently without me taking any doses of melatonin or sleep aids, I only get about 3-4 hours of sleep, even with the CPAP. That's awesome to know. #justwanttosleepnormal

The news in my city has reached boredom levels. Apparently on May 18th, a father and son were bow fishing near Lake Erie, when they saw a saquatch jump down from a 30 foot tree and climb up an embankment of the shore and disappear. No photos or video were taken. I can't take this level of stupid.

Sleep doctor called me today, with the results of my sleep study. Moderate sleep apnea. So I'll be outfitted with a CPAP in the coming days. I figured I did just by how shitty my sleep has been, so to be able to get better sleep once I get it is a welcome sight.

Sleep study done. Why they had the firmest mattress for me to sleep on, I don't know. But I did sleep. Now I gotta wash the Vaseline shit they put in my hair, once I get home.

Update with my sleep dr.: After seeing the progress of my sleeping habits (sleeping better, though not as consistent as it should be), he finally recommended that I get a sleep study done. Thank fuck, because it's been a long time coming, so I'm hoping to get things all figured out by year's end.

A postmortem on tonight's dinner: -Steak was nice and juicy. A hair over medium-well and could've used a bit of rosemary for flavor, but was still nice. -Made a reduction of the juices to pour over, tied everything together nicely, even if it was salty -I need a steak like this every now and then.

Nothing says "Treat Yo Self" like a medium well steak, sauteed mushrooms, peppers and onion, and the Super Bowl. Let's go, Sportsball!
