every single time i see someone who's like "you know what, i HOPE AI takes the jobs of artists" i go to their profile and see that they're absolutely in love with anime and video games. they want art but they want the people making it to suffer.

when people in real life find out you dislike AI they think they're just 'one more ai slop thing they liked to show you' away from convincing you it's good actually and they fundamentally can't process you hating something on principle and by your morals.

almost done with re9, definitely recommend that if you're wondering "are there any re games i should play before this one?" at minimum i 100% recommend re2 remake.

playing re2 1998 AND the remake as a part of my re binge for re9 was a good choice..

over the past two months i've binged a bit of resident evil, i've played: re1 (2003), re2 1998, re2 remake, re4, re4 remake, re7, and re8. re9 is easily the hardest resident evil holy SHIT this game is PUNISHING (especially playing with ink ribbons.)

not to be TOO far up my own ass but I feel like I'm in a very small group of people who actually, REALLY means it when I say I view games as art. so many people say that because it sounds good but they don't mean it.

I have been saying for years that this idea that everyone should be socially comfortable and people who make others uncomfortable even if that wasn't their intent are bad is directly horrible for neurodivergent people, good intentions or not.

i know it says "VO" in my name but confession: i haven't pursued voice acting in two years, mostly not out of choice. no guarantees but i may be able to change that soon.

what we're seeing in fandom right now is the natural consequence of fostering entitled online communities where people don't mind their business and projecting your own values on others militantly without respecting others' opinions is encouraged and seen as good.

one of the worst things I'm noticing about AI is that it's convincing people that they shouldn't bother with trying to create on their own. worse, I've seen it embolden in some the myth that creation is a "natural talent" that they don't and can't possess. AI is sucking the joy from everything.

it's sad how often being against AI puts you at odds with most normal ppl irl.

Gakkou Gurashi/School-Live deserved to be more popular, i love it so much. it honestly probably WOULD'VE been popular if the anime came out just like a year later, it aired like RIGHT when horror like it first started to be more popular.

I'm like 80% confident that if they do a Fallout 3 remake they'll probably also do Fallout New Vegas at the same time or close to it. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are such similar games that working on one is probably means working on the other. There's a reason TTW even exists.

ran into a literal softlock on fallout 76's main storyline and i google the issue and it's gone unfixed for 5 and a half years. bethesda game studios...

kinda gettin' annoyed by youtube videos that are titled like they're gonna be some scripted essay of some kind and they're just not. just saw a video named like "Why You Keep LOSING in {Video Game} (and How to Fix It)" and it was just 30 minutes of his gameplay.

when fallout 76 came out i was like "i'm gonna make my home base in my home town" and then i got the game and my home town is awful to live in, ash and coal in the air and all your followers complain about being there and i was like "well damn, i can't even enjoy living there in a video game."

with acting as a craft i feel like i'm really susceptible to imposter syndrome. i'm not SUPER DUPER good and i wouldn't be able to do some amazingly emotional scene that you see some of the greatest actors handle with on screen crying and emotional subtlety so it's really hard to see where i'm at.

civilization is the windows of gaming. every time they come out with a new one it kind of sucks then after some years it ends up being actually fairly good through updates until the next one comes out to suck again and the cycle repeats.

i really need to get back up into voice acting proper but life has made it impossible over the past couple of years.

i think for whatever reason there is absolutely no way out of the digital circus and in episode 7 we see Caine's attempt to try to help the residents with accepting that in the best way an AI built to make adventures could think of. it's what he's built for, it's all he's good at.

the worst thing about casual mode in TF2 is honestly that it severely hurt community servers. there were a couple of community servers I frequented that literally died within months after meet your match because they were no longer getting players from quickplay.
