I already had T1D when I got COVID, but one of the reasons I was so cautious (and continue to be) is because my immune system has already shown that it has no idea what to do. Avoiding a virus that confuses it even more seems a smart idea.

I would love researchers to stop saying āthese people will respond to our drug/therapyā as a measure of success & instead say āour drug/therapy will work for these peopleā. The responsibility for a therapyās effectiveness should not be on the person.
