Ah, they're apparently letting another free wave of people into Soulframe (the new game from the Warframe devs). Anyone who signs up before midnight Eastern time tomorrow gets in the door. I played a bit of it recently! They're still making some big sweeping changes, but it's good fun so far.

Dang, Warframe's next expansion is doubling down even more on the Weird Space Opera stuff. Not gonna spoil it, but the environments and characters are stepping up a notch.

NTE’s combat is genuinely the least fun I have ever had in my life - the worst combat in any gacha by far, and I’m including the games that play themselves It also just has.. no justification to have the combat shoehorned in. It could’ve been anime GTA, instead it is Genshin meets Watch_Dogs 1

despite not necessarily my favorite, i think wuwa is the best of the modern 3d gacha games on the market in nearly every category (& it isn’t even close). it’s improved drastically since the (admittedly awful) 1.X ML patches and it feels like all competitors have gotten worse over the same period

Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!
