Now time for detail work. Ngl this is low key my favorite and most loathed part of bodies. The work is super rewarding but it’s very tedious!!

The latest bedside paint booth creation. First time trying a full car colos fade and edge fade on the hood. Learned a few things here but overall I’m pretty amped up about this. This one is for me haha.

Here’s the close up on all three. I’ll pop them in the store after Christmas. Probably do a few more because they are fun.

Friday night at the track was fun! Played a little gane of throwing backies and seeing who could get closest to the cone xD. Here’s one of my turns haha.

Aaaand done. Hoping to hand it off to the owner tomorrow. I think it came out pretty sweet! A few imperfections, but when it’s flying by, 6 feet down at your shoes, it’ll look mint 👍🏼

Second paid commission to paint and detail an RC drift car body! First time using the new airbrush and “paint booth”. Pretty satisfied with both! A few very tiny lessons learned in the process, you’ll have that on them big jobs xD! Assembly and detail work left on this before I hand it off. ^_^

What living in the north with crazy winters is actually like 🤣

My whole thing is doing it once and right. So much detail I cannot put in a single post but I’ve cut almost no corners and have spent soooo much time researching modern build techniques and materials, code and learning a massive fuckton. I’ve been proud of my recent progress and wanted to share ^_^

Some know, some don’t. I bought a house 4ish years ago. Dad and I were gonna renovate it completely. Losing my dad 4 months after purchase wasn’t in the cards, took me a long time to decide what to do. Gonna keep pushing. Started with leveling the floor and new subfloor. Finished this half recently.

So first test of camera RC chase car wasn’t 100% successful but it was a success. Added some red knobs to tighten the linkage to adjust camera position. There was play in them and I think that created camera shaking. Also moved the battery to the back for weight distribution. Gonna try again soon!

Put effort in to take the drift car out ONCE this year. Got to track, car broke nearly immediately. Fixed enough to get back onto trailer. Drifting is so stupid.

Almost done! Need to make a stand with some shelving and some trim work on the box itself! So far pretty pleased with how it’s turned out! ☺️

I want to be able to do some airbrush work during winter, so I’m making a booth with filtered forced ventilation (that will go out a window)! Kind of a concept based off one I’ve seen, that I hope will work! Making good progress ^_^

Oh I forgot I also took the 5 minutes to replace the starter button on my s13….at least I can let it idle and get to operating temp now while it sits >.>

What a productive weekend yet still feel like I achieved nothing 😆. Replaced the starter on my plow truck, cut nailer studs for securing my subfloor, started re-insulating the floor prior to subfloor install and finally cut out a new RC body I’ll be working on soon. 🤷🏻‍♂️

One of those nights where I’m just feeling forever alone. 😔😕

Every time I get to drive the RD2, I love it more and more. Last night I won 2nd place in the RC drift “best looking car” show and 3rd place in the tandem competition. Still only upgraded what I thought it needed, thing is a weapon!
