Considering the Giants have no need for Mendoza, they'll take No.1 overall. They could use the picks from a trade down, though.

1) Jaxson Dart is so damn twitchy. He's not a burner, but he's got amazing quickness and agility. 2) I really like the Giants incorporating the Pistol into their offense.

The Giants' defense's inattention to details has been killing them since the preseason. Out of position, poor communication, poor technique and fundamentals. It's stunning to me that Shane Bowen still has a job and I've completely lost confidence that the coaching staff can accurately self-scout.

Fatigue management and exposure to injury were always the chief concern(s) with Hunter as a 2-way player. Excellent athlete, but he's still human. That means human energy systems and human recovery from training, practice, and games.

Giants-Eagles post-game thoughts: I don't think the Giants came out flat against the Eagles. I do think the injuries to Adebo and Holland changed how they structured their defense. I also have to wonder if Shane Bowen over-corrected after the end of the Broncos game.

I'd like to point out that Tom Brady, an NFL owner, is ripping the officials in the Giants-Eagles game live on TV.

The Eagles are defending Dart the same way the Giants' defended Hurts in the first matchup (and aren't doing this game).

The Giants need to be working on a new contract for Daniel Bellinger. I'd also add Kayvon Thibodeux, and Dane Belton, Cor'Dale Flott, and Micah McFadden to that as well.

I say it every year: Bad and weird things happen to the Giants in Philly. First the refs decide actually the fumble didn't happen, then the phantom block in the back. Now one of the best things to happen to the Giants in a decade goes down with a terrible looking injury.

Considering the refs hallucinated Hurts' forward momentum stopping, I think AI already IS officiating games.
