Been trying out new brushes lately for my drawings to give them a more traditional look. Its fun to learn new methods to do the coloring and shading, to be able to vary a little with one's artstyle.

I was starting to wonder if we'd get any snow this winter at all, since up until now there's been none of it where I live. Today it suddenly started snowing like crazy to the point I could barely see the road on my way to work, and it shows no signs of stopping. It kind of makes me a little anxious.

With some luck, I just might be able to buy my own house at the end of this year. My dream of owning my own den feels one step closer!

I really just want 2025 to be over, it has been a rather rough year.. 🥀

Really hoping that one day, I will get to see the northern lights in its full glory with my own eyes. It has been one of my dreams for years ❤️

Feels really good to once again work on another detailed steampunk clockwork drawing after all this time. I have gotten a lot of my motivation and mood back for art in general lately ❤️

I've finally started to make a "storyboard" for one of my novels. Also working on updated designs for the two main characters which is going very well ❤️

Today's been a rather good day for me, and I feel a lot better emotionally as well, as I finally see a glimmer of hope for my dreams of owning my own den and so much more. It is quite the feeling for me to have a genuine smile on my face after so long, and I've missed it so much.

Went for a long walk through the forest I grew up next to. I used to spend so much time around here as a pup. Feels so much more like "home" whenever I visit this place. Just being out in nature like this really does help me calm down and feel so relaxed.

I think I'm going to make simple refsheets of my prehistoric characters, just for the fun of it. I feel I need none story related projects as well for whenever I need a paus from it.

I have a new goal for my artistic hobby: To make characters based on most of or maybe even all 26 known species of hesperocyoninae. I feel these canid ancestors of ours derserve some artistic love. After all, they gave rise to all of our modern canids living today.

I wonder, will I ever see another therian whose theriotype is also from the hesperocyoninae family? I honestly believe I might be the only one in existance. It is kinda neat to be unique I guess, but I cant help but feel so incredibly lonely all the time 🥀

Spooky season is almost here again, and I'm suddenly in the mood to draw darker art. How fitting.

It is very tough being this shy, when deep down I so badly wan't to try and reach out to other critters, but I just don't dare to do it. Canids are supposed to be social animals, but I'm the opposite for some reason.

I can tell when the canid side of me has once again awakened, as I suddenly have this urge to just run out into the forest and howl, and then just spend the night there. I really don't feel like I belong in a concrete box.

I very rarely draw my dhole sona, so I decided to make a proper drawing of it. The theme is a combinationg of astronomy and steampunk, my two favorite themes in art. This was very enjoyable to work on ❤️

For some reason, the dhole in me have become a lot more active the past few months. It surprises me, as up until now, this part of me would rarely "awaken". But now, it happens almost every day. Not sure if it means anything, but I really don't mind being a fluffy whistle dog.

Canids started as rather small critters back during the mid Eocene epoch, about 42 million years ago, so I felt like drawing myself holding up my little hesperocyon character, Orion, questioning his size! Just a random silly idea I came up with hehe.

Just curious, would any of you guys like to see wips and random sketches posted here? I have quite a few art projects going at the moment, but as the usual, progress is very, very slow.
